About Us!

Hello, I am Ms. Guerra and I am an 6th grade teacher and also the sponsor for cheerleading here at Rafael Cantu Junior High School.  We cheer at all home games for football and basketball.  We also cheer with the Veterans Memorial Cheer squad once a year at varsity high school football game.

Being chosen to be part of the RCJH Cheer Squad also holds an important role so we are often called upon to host various functions and perform at several social events held at the school.  Therefore, being chosen to represent our school as a cheerleader is a privilege and an honor.  It is important for all cheerleaders to understand they represent the school at all times, as well as dramatically contribute to the overall environment.  

The Cheer Squad also attends cheer competition in April at San Antonio where they start practicing in January with their cheer routine. So that is why Cheerleading requires commitment and enthusiasm, and will provide your child with great experiences in the community and for their self.
