                                                                Mission Statement

The ultimate goal of the Rafael Cantu Junior High Athletic Department is to serve as an integral part of the total educational program by ensuring and enhancing the quality of life for our youth.  I believe that athletics provides one of the finest avenues through which today’s young athletes can become constructive and positive members of society.  By stressing fair play, sportsmanship, and teamwork, students will learn the key life lesson that hard work leads to success.

At Rafael Cantu Junior High, we believe that participation in athletics greatly benefits our student athletes by helping them to realize their full potential relative to their growth and development.  Our student athletes, in order to be productive in an ever-changing society, will be provided with a varied and diversified program designed to instill competitiveness, develop skills, build positive characteristics, and foster sound values.
