Rafael Cantu Junior High will prepare and inspire all students to be equipped to excel in the college and career of their choice, dominate 21st century skills in leadership, knowledge, language, and technology to compete in a global economy and serve as successful citizens in their community.

The Cavs are going to Austin!

The CyberCavs Teams 13519 and 13516 Teams competed this past Saturday (01-27-18) at Alton Memorial Jr. High in the FTC (First Tech Challenge) event securing a spot to be one of 15 teams representing the RGV in the FIRST Regional State competition in Austin, TX.
 
The teams competed against other RGV High Schools and Jr. Highs and both teams came in 1st place in their division and 1st Place in the Finals to qualify them to head to Regional State competition in Austin.
 

Team 13519:

Manuel Salinas (8th), Pedro Rojas (8th), Salim Guizar-Servin (8th), Jorge Villasana (8th), Joel Quijada (8th), Kendrick Torres (8th), Gael Garcia (8th)

Team 13516: 

Joaquin Alvarez (8th), Nyleen Canizalez (8th), Alberto Montes (8th), Kayla Del Angel (8th), Gabriel Salinas (7th), Ian Mata Arteaga (7th), Julie Rodriguez (7th) and Arely Espinoza (7th)

 

Robotics Coaches whom have overseen the Robotics program at RCJH are Daniel “Danny” Reyna, Manuel “Marc” Villarreal, Catalina Gomez, and Laura Alvarez,
